Accessibility statement
Last revised: 2026-09-26
Cinemes illa Carlemany is committed to making this website accessible to as many people as possible, regardless of their abilities or the technology they use to browse.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with level AA of theWeb Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.
“Partially compliant” means that the website has been built following those guidelines and the aspects detailed below have been checked, but a full external audit has not yet been carried out that would allow us to declare full compliance. We prefer to say so rather than claim a level of compliance we have not measured.
What has been taken into account
- Keyboard navigation. Everything that can be clicked with the mouse can be reached and activated with the keyboard, and the focused element is visibly highlighted.
- Alternative text. Images that convey information —posters, logos of public bodies, action icons— have a text alternative. Decorative images are marked as such so that screen readers skip them instead of reading out noise.
- Heading structure. Each page has a single main heading and the following headings are nested in order, without skipping levels.
- Motion. The homepage carousel respects the system’s “reduce motion” preference: if it is turned on, the carousel does not rotate by itself.
- Works without JavaScript. The listings, showtimes, film pages and legal pages are served fully built from the server. JavaScript only adds convenience features.
- Size and colour. Text can be resized without losing content, and you can choose between a light mode and a dark mode.
Non-accessible content
We are aware of the following limitations:
- There is no external audit. We cannot guarantee that there are no isolated failures to meet level AA that a professional review would detect.
- Third-party content. Trailers are hosted on external platforms (YouTube) and their player is not under our control.
- Catalogue text. Film titles and synopses are supplied by the distributors. We take care over how they are presented, but we do not write their content.
- Published documents. If we publish downloadable documents at any point, they may not meet all document accessibility criteria.
